New Zealand Maori Haka Dance

In the interest of intercultural exchange and understanding, I will surprise my wife with this dance when she gets home tonight (maybe even the words, too). Scroll ahead to see the fine young men performing with their lively eyes and enchanting tongues. Maybe this is also something to do on the first day of class?

If you want to see something really moving your should see the All Blacks do the Haka before a rugby match. They scare the s--t out of the opposition. This is the one from Dunedin. http://files.allblacks.com/downloadable-hakas/dunedin-haka-300.wmv Give it a look and imagine your self as the opposing team on the field for the next 90 minutes with out any breaks, or pads, or anything. The warrior spirit is still there.

Alan--I DID run across them in my search for videos. Intimidating yes, but doesnt' matter if they aren't a good team. are they?
AB--I was too tired and grummpy by the time she got home. So I did it for Meiko. I'm now out of Neosporin.

I hope you got the intended reaction from your bride but I can't help but say that those outfits make their bellies look fat! (This said with the utmost respect for the Maori tradition and in the spirit of humor!)

They are big guys, so I have nothing on them being the lanky dude I am.
